May Round-Up

May Round-Up

May came and went super quick, but we still made some incredible memories. Here’s our family roundup for May.

Two Birthday Celebrations – As like last month I had 2 of the girls birthdays. But these were big ones, Lexia became a teenager, yes that’s two in the house now! And Tegan became an adult turning 18. Tegan and I had a trip to the Bath Thermae Spa to celebrate. Lexia, her friend and the younger kids headed to a massive trampolining park in South Wales, way too energetic for me! All the kids birthdays are now done for this year and I am officially broke.

Matilda the Musical – Jolie and I had a fantastic night at Bristol Hippodrome for the start of Matilda’s run in the city. Jolie is a complete bookworm like Matilda so really enjoyed the production as did I.

Childfree Holiday – It was a couple of my good friends big birthdays, so I headed to Majorca for a girlie weekend with 13 other girls. As much as I needed a break from business and the general chaos of single parent life, God did I miss the kids. The weather wasn’t fantastic but I still managed to come home a bit tanned. Now hoping the sunshine returns soon so I can keep the tan going.

Take That – So I am a Take Thatter and have been a fan since they were originally around in the 90s. I have been to many tours before so this year it had to be done. I and one of my oldest friends went to St Marys Stadium in Southampton to see them. It was a wonderful evening and the weather was fantastic too (how old do I sound in the sentence). We danced and sung along to all the classic.

Half Term and Family Time – As I have said before School holidays definitely come with many challenges. Now the kids are older and I still need to work. So it is a huge task of juggling, but I did manage to have a few days off. We headed to the beach with my biggest sister and her family, the kids loved it. The kids go very relaxed with the lack of routine and mornings now they are back at school are hard work.

May sure was a busy month, now let’s see what adventures June brings
